The project manager of the S-Class division at Mercedes-Benz, Martin Hulder, has decided to spill the beans on the luxury German automaker’s upcoming plan. Hulder has made it pretty clear that the company is determined to introduce a new S-Class model before the end of the year and this time, the model will come with a retractable roof.
As reported by the Autocar, Hulder mentions that he even dares to confirm a new luxury sports vehicle model will be made available this year for those who are fond of gazing at the stars while driving at night. Of course, by gazing at the stars, Hulder can only mean that the new vehicle will feature a roof which the driver can pull down whenever he wishes to do so.
Unfortunately, the project manager of Mercedes-Benz S-Class division, refuses to give further details out to the media. Yet, judging by some spy photos that had been captured even before Hulder made his statement, it is almost certain that the upcoming Mercedes-Benz S-Class roadster will borrow most of the styling cues from its coupe counterpart. Well, there is perhaps one drawback speaking of the upcoming roadster. It seems to be coming with a retractable soft top instead of a hard top. For your information, there have been a number of cases out there in which the retractable soft top of a sports car, even the most expensive ones, are torn apart by some naughty hands. Other than that, however, it seems that the car is alright.
