It is official that the Japanese automaker, Nissan, and its luxury division, Infiniti, will launch the new Q30 vehicle model fall this year. Yet, besides that model, there is another exciting model coming from the Japanese automaker. Infiniti has decided to tease the public with an image that supposedly depicts a vehicle model it dubs the QX30, in its concept guise. The car is slated for its world debut this oncoming March, right when the 2015 Geneva Motor Show kicks off.
Well, Infiniti actually previewed the vehicle’s Q30 counterpart during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show back in September 2013 and now, the company claims it is ready to officially take the veil off the QX30, which is going to be a crossover. Both the Q30 and QX30 from the automaker are going to enter production no later than this year itself. It is also believed that they will be based on the MFA platform from the luxury German automaker, Mercedes-Benz. The latter uses this platform for its GLA and A-Class vehicle lineups. As such, power for the Infiniti Q30 and QX30 will come from turbocharged 4-cylinder engines, both for the diesel and petrol variants. As an optional package, Infiniti will also make an all-wheel-drive (AWD) drivetrain available.
Infiniti represents the QX30 concept it is teasing as a premium crossover with a compact design, to begin with. In addition to that, the company also represents the car as the ride of choice for a whole new generation of premium customers.
As can be seen in the teaser image, the vehicle sports sleekly designed LED taillights, a prominent tailgate and a massive rear bumper featuring dual exhaust pipes. Other components visible from the teaser image include large tires alongside plastic body cladding and wide wheel arches.
Well, even though Infiniti has announced that the car will debut on March 3, 2015, it is likely that there will be more teasers coming up for the company’s QX30 vehicle model.
