Well, for some of the people out there who actually pay attention constantly to the news regarding the French automotive marquee, Renault, they will know that the company is very likely working on a new vehicle model. As such, a rendering specialist, Theophilus Chin, has decided to see what the company’s upcoming 7-seater flagship SUV model will be like. The rendering can be seen here.
Bearing the Ondelios moniker, it is said that the car will be using the platform of the present generation Espace MPV model by Renault. Only, it is most likely going to sport a roofline that is slightly higher than that of the Espace MPV model. In addition to that, the Ondelios will potentially come with a more upright design of windshield as well. According to the aforementioned designer from Malaysia, the Ondelios is named after its concept version which Renault introduced back in the year 2008.
However, if the latest rumors in the industry are to be believed, there is a huge chance that the French automaker will be renaming the model to Koleos. It will reportedly slot below the company’s Espace MPV model. The car will have a total length of approximately five meters and that it will be taking advantage of the CMF platform. In case you forget, it is this very platform that is also used for the X-Trail model from the Japanese automaker, Nissan.
Last but not least, when it comes to the engines, customers will most likely be able to choose from a pretty comprehensive array of engines that will be highly similar to that of the Nissan X-Trail. Well, to be honestly speaking, this is not really that surprising at all, considering both vehicles share the CMF platform.
