The 2016 Porsche Boxster is likely to have some slight restyling on the exterior. Some of the exterior parts that will be redesigned are rear bumper, door handles, and headlights. The interior will feature an infotainment system with bigger display screen. The interior seats and trimmings will be made from better materials. It will also feature a new steering wheel system. You can choose from manual transmission or dual clutch transmission. For the first time, it will be equipped with a four cylinder turbocharged engine to meet the standards of carbon emissions in Europe. Only the special edition models will retain the 6 cylinder engines.
The regular model will be equipped with a 2.7 litre turbocharged four-valve engine that generate a maximum torque of 178 kW . The S variant will be equipped with a 2.5 liter engine that offers a maximum power output of 224 kW. The S model will feature twin tailpipes that are mounted in the center of the car rear. The 3.4 litre engine of the old Boxster GTS will be replaced with a powerful 2.5 liter turbo engine that generate around 275 kW. The specs for the 2016 Porsche Boxster will be revealed at the upcoming 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The production of the car will begin in the middle of this year.
