Swedish brand name Koenigsegg has announced on a blog post that the Koenigsegg Agera RS will start production for the US market, where it has been totally homologated and proclaimed road-legal. It’s restricted to just 25 examples– 10 which have already been pre-sold– and also according to the brand name, four Agera RS have already been finished, while 6 even more are on the assembly line waiting to start.

The supercar, which first made its launching at the 2015 Geneva Motor Program, is basically a design mix between the Koenigsegg One:1, the Agera R and the Agera S. It measures at 4,293 mm long, 2,050 mm large and also 1,120 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,662 mm.

The Agera RS evaluates 1,395 kg at the kerb– that’s less than the Agera R (1,435 kg) and also the Agera S (1,415 kg). This is thanks to making use of breakthrough compounds and also layup methods made use of in the One:1. Underneath that carbon-fibre/kevlar body is a framework that contains a mix of carbon-fibre as well as aluminium.

Beneath the back hatch is an improved twin-turbo 5.0 litre fuel V8 from the Agera S, making 1,160 hp at 7,800 rpm and 1,280 Nm of torque at 4,100 revoltions per minute. The engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters.

Baseding on the post, the 7th Agera RS is expected to take over 6 months to produce at the Koenigsegg manufacturing facility in Angelholm, Sweden.
