Tesla is on news these days with its electric-lineup and the latest buzz around Model 3 may by an evidence that Elon Musk is not so overoptimistic in his goals as numerous experts say. There still is a long way to go up until the business will reach its wanted 500,000 units in terms of production by 2020. Already, Tesla has to expand its output capacity and Europe is the right place to begin the expansion strategy. Musk said in February that he wished to develop a factory in the region and mentioned Alsace in a video. Just recently, French Energy Minister Segolene Royal had a much better idea for Tesla, the news agency AFP reported. She has suggested a place which is presently the home of the nation’s oldest nuclear reactor, Fessenheim, which will shut down by the end of the year.
Relocating to another continent, Tesla is also counting on the Chinese market to enhance need for its electrical cars and strategies to find a local production partner to share production capability that would help the automaker prevent import tariffs of a minimum of 25 percent.
