The highly rare Lamborghini Centenario has made its North American debut in Los Angeles Saturday.

Just 40 examples of the car, which includes 20 coupes and 20 convertibles, are going to be built, all of them have now been sold for $1.9 million, per car.

The car, which heads from 0-62mph in 2.8 seconds and strikes leading speeds of 217mph, made its American launching at the Petersen Automotive Museum located in Los Angeles Saturday early morning.

As the name speaks, the Centenario was commissioned in acknowledgment of the first centenary of the birth of the automaker’s creator, Ferruccio Lamborghini, who was born on April 28, 1916.

He began his profession structure tractors, but then moved over to constructing sports cars – with remarkable outcomes.

The Centenario the most powerful engine ever constructed by the automaker – a 776 horse power, naturally aspirated V-12 monster, and its carbon-fiber body allows it to be light-weight and aerodynamic.

It weighs about 3,351 lbs, providing it a weight-to-horsepower ratio of 4.34 pounds each horse power.

Its interior is custom-made for each purchaser, and includes light-weight carbon-fiber seats.

It can be colored to any color that its purchasers demand but the display screen model seen in LA is unpainted, to display the slick carbon paneling.

The car made its worldwide launching in March at the 2016 Geneva Auto Show.
