Viewers of Transformers series probably remember the samurai alien robot, Drift, who belonged of the Autobots group in the last Transformers film, Age of Extinction. Previously appearing through a Bugatti Veyron, for the 5th venture, Drift will disguise himself as the recently unveiled Mercedes-AMG GT R. Director and producer of the project, Michael Bay just recently published an image of the completely pimped up AMG GT R on social networks adding, “The Samurai returns thanks to the Mercedes Benz GT R AMG. Looking good, Drift.”
The launch of the fifth Transformers film – The Last Knight is still a year away, planned for a June 2017 launch. And it is obvious that when it concerns keeping the buzz alive, director Michael Bay does it finest. In the past weeks we saw the new Bumblebee Chevrolet Camaro, the brand-new Barricade Ford Mustang, a brand new transformer – Squeaks that takes the type of a Vespa, and now Drift with the brand-new Mercedes-AMG GT R.
Mercedes-AMG revealed the new GT R just last week at the Goodwood festival of speed in the UK.
