Hyundai Motor union stages first full strike in more than a decade

The South Korean of Hyundai Motor labor union that are staged with their first completely nationwide that is strike in about 12 years on Monday for more hindered wage talks, thereby putting earnings of automaker and targets of sales that are at risk.

The walkout for the full-day came subsequent to the series of the partial stoppages ever since July at the factories of automaker all across South Korea, their greatest base of manufacturing which produces about 40 percent of their vehicles that are sold globally previous year.

The complete disruption, led though the union boss Park known as You-ki, has even led to the missed production of about 114,000 vehicles that were worth about 2.5 trillion as on Monday, the greatest output loss which is strike-related for automaker in regard to value of the vehicles.

However, union plans also to stage the partial strike for remainder of the week as well as stoppages can also continue in the next week according to response of the company, said Jang Chang-yeal, the union spokesman.
