Automobiles formerly owned by royals and celebs have been sold at auction for over ₤ 450,000 ($562,000) at Silverstone Auctions.
The lots consisted of a Rolls-Royce Phantom owned by Sir Elton John, which opted for ₤ 123,750 ($154,551).
A Rolls-Royce Corniche Convertible, formerly owned by the Qatari royal household, was purchased for ₤ 135,000 ($168,600).
But numerous vehicles in the collection failed to accomplish their reserve costs, including a 2012 Bentley Mulsanne owned by the Queen.
A 1994 Audi Cabriolet, formerly owned by Princess Diana, was sold at ₤ 54,000 ($67,440). Diana traveled about 4,000 miles in the vehicle.
Other highlights throughout the auction included the sale of a 1972 Fiat 500L, which was purchased by previous Prime Minister David Cameron as a birthday present to his wife Samantha, and brought ₤ 20,813 ($26,000).
A 1976 Bentley, that belonged to Michael Winner and a 1980 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II, previously owned by Princess Margaret, likewise failed to fulfill their reserves.
Called the Jewels in the Crown collection, these cars were sold by Silverstone Auctions during its sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show on Saturday and Sunday.
