Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson purchased his father the a car as gift this season.
The 44-year-old superstar shared a picture of him, his daddy and a gleaming Subaru on Instagram Friday.
He revealed his thankfulness to his dad in a prolonged caption that explained simply a few of the sacrifices daddy Rocky has made for The Rock and his household.
The star amazed his no-frills daddy by providing daddy a new car.
The caption read: ‘Bought my dad a Christmas gift and surprised him. He’s had a hard life. This one felt good.
‘My dad, Rocky Johnson is a minimalist. Always has been. Never asks me for much and over the years his needs are always the barest.’
The WWE superstar went on to inform about a memorable story about his father, discussing how papa Rocky was left to fend for himself at just 13-years-old.
One distressing Christmas after his own daddy’s death, the Canadian native’s life was really changed.
‘That Christmas, my dad’s mom had her new boyfriend over for Christmas dinner. Her boyfriend got drunk and pissed on the turkey.
‘My dad went outside, got a shovel, drew a line in the snow and said if you cross that line I’ll kill you. The drunk crossed it and my dad laid him cold as a block of ice.’
He continued: ‘The cops were called. They told my dad’s mom that when her boyfriend regains consciousness, he’s gonna kill your son so one of them has got to go.
‘In front of the entire family, my dad’s mom looked at him and said get out. He was 13 years old and now homeless.
‘That f*cked up true story happened in Amherst, Nova Scotia, Canada in 1954. He needed the bare minimum then, just like does now.’
So this Christmas, the superstar did something unique to honor everything his daddy has overcome.
‘Every Christmas, I always think about that story and my dad having every odd stacked against him at 13, but he fought thru it and still made something of himself.
‘Makes me appreciate his struggle and hard work… Just a small way of saying thank you dad and Merry Christmas!’
He ended the wholehearted post with the tag #DwantaClaus, calling himself after the premier holiday gift provider.
Dwayne will share his acting gifts with the general public in a number of extremely expected task in 2017. Last year, the superstar had gifted his uncle, Haku, a new car.
