Woman leaves car on train tracks, charged with DUI

A woman in St. Lucie County discovered Thursday that train tracks were not an appropriate parking space for her car.

Sheriff’s deputies traced the woman down and arrested her after witnesses reported that she seemed drunk as she left her automobile on the train tracks in the 3000 block of Old Dixie Highway, north of Fort Pierce.

The woman, whose name was not revealed, is dealing with a charge of DUI, stated Bryan Beaty, spokesperson for the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office.

A tow truck had the ability to get rid of the incorrectly parked car before the next train was arranged to pass, the sheriff’s office stated.
