A 42 year old Aisha living in a car for four months been offered a job and received an overwhelming support for clearing her over dues right within an hour of her story published in multiple news networks
Among the calls, one was from Plan b Group, a marketing and event major. This company has informed Aisha to attend an interview, following which she was offered with the designation as management and HR consultant. Harmeek Singh, the chairman of plan b said that “they came to know about Aisha when one of their team members read the post about her in XPRESS”. Upon the confirmation from him, the HR department found her contact details. On the same day of knowing about her, they invited her to their company office. Even before offering the job, knowing of her poor circumstances, the accommodation is been arranged by them at a hotel with the basic needs.
Another surprising call for Aisha was from the Dar Al Ber Society which eventually stepped in to help her in clearing her overdue. The society has offered her with supermarket vouchers of about Dh300 ($81) on the first day, cash amount of about Dh200 ($54) the next day and a check for Dh9 ($2.45), 545 ($148) in the name of a car rental company with which she had an outstanding.
Aisha had her share of hard times. She is a former UAE resident, who returned to Dubai to pack up a management company she had once started while she was UAE resident. But she happened to lose all of money due to lack of experience and wisdom. She informed that she lent over Dh40,000 ($10,890) for a young cancer patient, but never had them back.
She rent a car from a car rental company, not only she paid for those services but also overstaying fines in the UAE. She needed a total of Dh10,000 ($2,722) to pay her all bills.
Aisha told that she is grateful of the support, she said “Thanks to XPRESS reaching out and providing their support, I have been offered a job that goes well with my capabilities and needs.”
