Volkswagen‘s labor employers and top executives are advancing in talks to deal with a conflict over the implementation of a turnaround plan, both sides stated, without elaborating.
Labour leaders at Volkswagen previously this month stopped cooperation with management on concerns including overtime work, performance gains and apprenticeships and alleged executives of aiming to squeeze greater cost savings than formerly agreed.
However the works council on Monday stated the talks have caused early signs of the best ways to get rid of disagreement over ways to implement the ‘future pact’ developed to raise earnings at VW’s core vehicles division, which represents practically half of earnings at Europe’s biggest vehicle group.
“Staff representatives are in constructive talks with top management on the open questions relating to the future pact,” a spokesperson for the works council stated by email.
