by SpeedLux

Tesla Motors to get a direct answer from Audi at the 2015 Frankfurt Show scheduled to be held in mid-September.

Mid-size SUV with an all-electric powertrain-a description, Audi Q6 e-tron is learned to match with that of Tesla’s Model X.

The couple-like styling will debut at the show next month and is learned to hit the showrooms by 2018.

Even though the car is kept in secrecy without revealing the official name yet, sources say it to come in a sporty look and a highly-aerodynamic silhouette.

It is expected to use an R8 e-tron-sourced engine providing more than 456 horsepower and 679 foot-pounds of torque. In about four seconds the upcoming Audi Q6 is said to be able to sprint from 0 to 60 mph and the top speed would be around 124 mils.

The top rivals of the car would be Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class, the BMW X6 and of course Tesla Model X.
