Bentley SUV Will Be Available By 2014

by Ionut Dragomir

About a moth ago the company’s new boss, Wolfgang Durheimer confirmed the rumors about a luxurious Bentley SUV. The latest reports say that the new model will be available by 2014.

The new model is expected to be the most luxurious model in its segment and will be priced at around 150.000 British pounds. The Bentley SUV will come with a unique styling, luxury wood, leather and VW’s high tech features, being powered by a W12 engine in auto markets where diesels aren’t so popular, with a massive 1.000 Nm torque (738 lb-ft).

The company’s new boss, Wolfgang Durheimer said the new SUV’s platform hasn’t been decided yet but it has all the chances to be the same as the next generation Audi Q7, so we’ll see a new competitor to the Land Rover, and, the Porsche Cayenne.

“I have great faith in the SUV market and it is here to stay”, said Wolfgang Durheimer, who counted the launch of the Porsche Cayenne as “one of my proudest achievements”.

Some previous reports indicate the SUV could debut at some point after 2013. Except this, no other official details are being known about the Bentley SUV but the model is expected to set a new benchmark in its segment.
