BMW’s Chief Executive Harald Krueger stated that there are no plans for the automaker to take a stake in German automaker Daimler as the two automakers continue talks on how to deepen collaboration in the area of autonomous vehicles.

The two automakers are collaborating in the area of mobility services, joint procurement of components and development of autonomous vehicle innovations.

Upon being asked if the multi-billion euros alliance between both automakers could include taking a small stake in Daimler, Krueger replied, “I can rule that out.”
