Changan Auto, an automaker from the origin country of pandas, China, has taken the liberty of teasing its upcoming vehicle model to the public. The car is an electric coupe and it will be sporting four doors. According to the Chinese automotive marquee, the car will have its world premiere at this year’s Shanghai Motor Show that is scheduled to open its doors to the public on April 20, 2015.
This is the very first teaser image that Changan Auto has ever released. In the image, the car looks pretty aggressive with the largely sized air intakes visible on the front bumper. In addition to being aggressive, the visual styling of the car actually makes it look pretty attractive as well. The Chinese automaker has equipped this upcoming 4-door electric coupe with a pair of sleekly designed LED headlamps on the front fascia. Judging by the teaser image, the car will potentially feature a 2-tone exterior color as well. This exterior hue may well combine a black color for the engine hood and a silver color for the body of the vehicle.
The car will receive its power from an electric motor that spits out no less than 167 HP of power output in total and 335 Nm of torque. The Chinese company even claims that a time window of 4.12 seconds should be more than enough for its upcoming electric coupe to go from the speed of 0 to 100 km/h.
Unfortunately, it seems that this is as far as we can go when it comes to the details of the upcoming Chinese electric vehicle (EV). However, it won’t be long before more details will be coming officially from the Chinese automaker itself. As reported by the CarNewsChina, the only thing we can do now is wait for the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show to officially kick off.
