Chinese auto sales increased 25.6 percent in the first half

China’s auto sales increased 25.6 percent year on year to more than 12.89 million units in the first half of this year, according to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

Sales of passenger vehicles boosted 27 percent year on year to over 10 million units in the January-June period, data showed.

In June alone, auto sales totaled 2.015 million units, dropping 12.4 percent year on year.

In the first half, China registered 18.71 million motor vehicles in the first half.
