Ferrari F150 – First Official Details

by SpeedLux

According to the latest information from Ferrari, its Enzo successor is no longer being called the F70; instead, Ferrari is referring to it with the some alpha-numeric combination that it used to identify its 2011 Formula One car. But internally it is being known as the “F150”.

The latest reports state that, Ferrari has revealed a quite handful of information on the highly anticipated Enzo successor. The reports says that, power to the car will come from an evolutionary V12 6.3-liter engine, seen in F12 Berlinetta, which produces 740 HP (544 kW), along with improved version of the HY-KERS electric hybrid system, which the company from Maranello had debuted at the Gebeva Motor Show in 2011, and with that Ferrari estimates that 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph) will take 10% less time with this system and will help lower CO2 emissions by 40%. The HY-KERS system will also enhance the torque vectoring system, traction control and brake force distribution since it will be integrated within the chassis electronics.

As for the body, the Enzo successor will feature a carbon fiber monocoque made of four different types of the lightweight material which will be hand-laminated and will help increase torsional rigidity by 27% and beam stiffness by 22% and this is whole concept of designing is being carried out by Scuderia Ferrari chief designer Rory Byrne. Reports claim that Ferrai will install the fuel tank and batteries behind the seats of the driver, so as to reduce the gravitational force. The Enzo successor will have the same height (1213mm / 47.8 inches) and wheelbase (2650mm / 104.3 inches) as the 458 Italia.

Inside, it will feature seats which will be made according to the customer’s dimensions, while the steering wheel and pedal box will be adjustable, and the cabin will be built around the driver.

Additional details are limited for the moment, so stay tuned for more updates.
