Guardia Civil release new stolen car detection system

Auto thieves are being targeted by a new Guardia Civil car control system.

The SIAM (Sistema de Identificación Automático de Matrículas) gadget, which has been set up in La Linea, Algeciras, Almería, Cádiz, Málaga, Motril as well as Tarifa, can find if a vehicle is swiped, has false number plates or is spray-painted.

The video clip system can likewise identify, with 98 % reliability, the registration of any sort of auto, also it is running as fast as 180kph.
