Hyundai, Kia to sell one million EVs in 2025, says group leader

Hyundai Motor Group leader Euisun Chung stated on Tuesday that the flagship Hyundai Motor and sister company Kia Motors would sell 1 million electric vehicles (EVs) in 2025, together they will be targeting more 10% of the worldwide market share of EVs.

Hyundai Motor plans to introduce a next-generation electric vehicle with a driving range of 450 kilometers per charge and charging time of 20 minutes or less, Chung stated in a televised video message.

Last month, Kia Motors topped a quality study of new vehicles sold in the United States based on owner responses, industry consultant J.D. Power.
