Luxury automaker Jaguar Land Rover stated it would temporarily suspend production at its UK manufacturing facilities starting from next week to fight the spread of coronavirus.

The automaker said it intends to restart production at the facilities in the week of April 20.

Jaguar Land Rover’s manufacturing plants located in Brazil and India are continuing their operations, the company said in an emailed statement according to Reuters.

The Tata Motors-owned automaker stated on Wednesday it would suspend production at its Slovakia-based Nitra plant from Friday because of the virus, which has so far infected 3,983 people in the UK and killed 177.
