Lyft Evaluates Advance Booking Feature

Ride-sharing service Lyft says it’s evaluating a function that would let users arrange a trip up to 24 hours ahead of time.

While many industrial taxi and vehicle services let travelers book a ride in advance, on-demand ride business like Lyft and Uber have not offered that service. They have stated it’s more efficient to dispatch cars when riders are prepared to utilize them.

Uber doesn’t enable advance reservations, although some independent smartphone apps say they can assist you schedule an Uber pick-up in advance.

Lyft states it’s now checking the reservation feature with its own staff members but assures to provide the service to riders in San Francisco and other cities in coming months.
