Michigan mother allegedly locked her son in car and set it on fire

A Michigan mother was apprehended on Tuesday after supposedly driving her child to a regional cemetery, binding his hands in the car and after that setting the vehicle on fire after leaving him inside the car, authorities stated.

The boy made it through however just after his mother freed him, the Monroe County, Michigan, Sheriff’s Office announced on Wednesday.

The 48-year-old lady from Frenchtown Town, Michigan, has been accused of attempting to murder and arson. Both she and her kid were taken to a nearby hospital for precautionary measures.

Officials have rejected to identify the name of mother, whom they accuse of driving her son to a cemetery in the family’s vehicle on Tuesday.

After setting the care on fire, the mother released the kid from the car and they walked away from the burning vehicle to find help, the constable’s office stated.

According to authorities, the female’s husband had called authorities to report that his wife may hurt their child. At the same time, authorities reacted to reports of a smoking vehicle.

Upon arrival, first responders located the car however not the pair. When they were located, the mother and child were talking with a cemetery employee. The female was jailed at the scene and reserved into the Monroe County Jail.

It is uncertain at this time if she has a lawyer or has entered a plea to her charges.
