2010 Porsche Panamera TurboAccording to German magazine Sportauto, Porsche test driver Walter Röhrl managed to lap the Nordschleife track in 7 minutes and 56 seconds with the new four door Porsche Panamera Turbo.

Until now the fastest sedan on the Nürburgring Norschleife track was a 556 horsepower Cadillac CTS-V with 7:59:32.

Panamera Turbo uses a turbocharged V8 that develops 500 horsepower, with power sent to all four wheels. This über four-door Porsche reaches 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.0-seconds and has a top speed of 188 mph (303 km/h).

Being the fastest on the famous Nürburgring seems to be a big thing. Fastest production car is still Corvette ZR1 with a time of 7:26.4.

Being the fastest car on the Nürburgring is definitely good for marketing, when you are in the business of creating high performance cars.
