Puritalia reveals their 427 Roadster prototype

by SpeedLux

Puritalia had last released the renderings of the 427 Roadster way back in 2012 and since then they have somewhat become invisible. But now the company is back as they have recently posted the first pictures of a near production prototype.

Dressed in a light coat of primer, the prototype will be used to test the car’s mechanicals and driving characteristics. Despite being a work in progress, the company states that there were very few cars out there that look good while still in the building stages. The company believed that their car was one of those models and compared it to a beautiful woman who shows all its natural charm without any makeup.

As previously reported, the 427 Roadster has drawn its inspiration from the 1965 Shelby Cobra and comes with a carbon composite body as well as an aluminum and chromoly chassis. Under the hood, two engines will be available including a 5.0-liter V8 engine with an output of 445 HP (327 kW) and 530 Nm (391 lb-ft) of torque as well as a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 mill rated at 605 HP (445 kW) and 640 Nm (472 lb-ft) of torque.
