Seat IBIZA Cupster concept to debut at Wörthersee, celebrates Ibiza 30th anniversary

by SpeedLux

Seat has unveiled a radical Ibiza Cupster open-top show car to celebrate SEAT Ibiza 30th anniversary, that will debut next week at the 2014 Wörthersee Treffen.

This is a very wild and radical take that we will obviously never see in production. It would be nice to see an Ibiza based roadster, but this concept is just too wild for the production world.

The raked and short windscreen combined with wraparound side windows just looks out of proportions and reminds us concepts from the 1980s.

Finished in an exclusive “New Orange” exterior body color, the concept rides on 18-inch alloy wheels.

The concept is powered by a 1.4 liter TSI from the standard Ibiza Cupra delivering 180 horsepower and linked to a DSG dual-clutch transmission.

Compared to the standard Ibiza the concept’s seating position is 80 millimetres lower and there are no rear seats.
