Volkswagen‘s unit Skoda Auto will cancel some shifts ahead of the automaker’s annual general two-week leave, due to shortage of parts, trade unions said on Thursday.

The annual leave is set for the first two weeks of August, but some shifts will be cancelled by July 28, the unions said.

Skoda has not commented on the issue.

Other automakers are also facing a shortage of parts, mainly chips, during these times.
