Smart Introduces the ForTwo Cabrio MOSCOT Edition

by SpeedLux

Smart, an automaker that is owned by the luxury German automaker, Mercedes-Benz, has officially taken the veil off its latest project, the Smart ForTwo Cabrio MOSCOT Edition. This car comes as a result of the collaboration between the aforementioned automaker with MOSCOT, a company that manufactures eyewear products. The car is meant to celebrate the centennial anniversary of the eyewear maker.

This latest vehicle from Smart features body panels which are entirely finished in the deep glossy black paint. In addition to that, the car also sports a tridion safety cell finished in a matte yellow hue. Buyers of the vehicle will also get Brabus Monoblock VII alloy wheels, Brabus front spoiler lip, MOSCOT badging on the exterior side mirrors and also a pair of headlamps finished in the titanium paint.

Yet, stepping into the cabin of the vehicle, buyers of the vehicle will be greeted by a 3-spoke steering wheel wrapped in quality leather material. That, however, is only the beginning. The interior is also well equipped with contrasting stitches on the top, yellow leather inserts on some elements of the cabin and also leather floor mats with the ‘MOSCOT edition’ badging. Furthermore, the cabin also features a yellow-black 2-tone color theme.

Under the hood, this latest Smart car hides a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo engine that runs on petrol. Mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, this engine is capable of delivering 102 hp of power output. The car also comes with sports suspension that is lower by 10 mm when compared to the regular version of the model.

In its home country, Germany, the car can already be driven home by anyone who possesses 29,524 Euros. The car is scheduled for shipment summer this year. As a note, this is potentially the very last special edition customers can possibly avail when it comes to the Smart ForTwo Cabrio, the convertible version of the Smart ForTwo.
