Teams were called to a beach by Brean Down in Somerset initially on Friday evening, when a Honda 4×4 CR-V – worth approximately ₤ 32,000 – got stuck in the mud and ended up being submerged by the sea.

It took Burnham Coastguards about 4 hours to release the vehicle, which emerged from the depths of the sea caked in mud.

The Bristol owner said: “We increased onto Brean Down for a walk and were uninformed the tide might reach the automobile – it’s come as a shock.”

A representative for Burnham Coastguards stated: “We would prompt anybody utilizing Burnham beaches throughout the high Spring tide to check the tide times. Consult with the beach warden if you have any concerns prior to leaving your car.”

“Also, always observe the warning signs and stay away from the muddy areas of the beach to guarantee you do not put yourself in to any prospective problem.”
