Toyota FT-86 Open concept formally revealed

by SpeedLux

Following a foretaste earlier this month Toyota has officially revealed the FT-86 Open concept.

With its debut at the Geneva Motor Showa imminent, the Open concept has a known appearance but avoids the coupe’s hardtop for an electrically-operated soft top. Toyota opines that there will a feeling of oneness with nature while maintaining the joy and sense of oneness with the vehicle.

The cabin is almost similar to the coupe but carries a high-varied white and navy blue interior with yellow-gold carpeting. Other key features include alloy pedals and metallic accents. Moreover the infotainment system has been replaced by a small audio head unit and additional instrumentation.

Toyota
refused to divulge performance details, but the model gets its power from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine that develops 200 HP (147 kW) and 205 Nm (151 lb-ft) of torque.
