Toyota to recall 23,157 Corolla Altis in India concerning Takata airbags

Toyota Motor is going to recall 23,157 units of the Corolla Altis high-end sedan in India due to continuous issues with air bags produced by Takata Corp, the company’s regional unit stated on Thursday.

The recall concerns Corolla Altis sedans made in between January 2010 and December 2012 in India, the automaker stated.

Toyota launched the new version of its worldwide sedan – Corolla Altis back in March. The New Altis sports recently styled grille, LED headlamps, LED DRLs together with 16.0 Alloy Wheels. The interior area features newly created Instrument Panel with Soft Touch Control panel and Flaxen interior color.

Toyota had likewise released an ‘Aero’ version of the Altis in 2012 as a minimal edition. Knowing the dates of manufacturing of those, Altis Aero may likewise face the issue with the airbags.
