Two dead after car crash on Highway 98, Destin

Two were killed in a traffic crash on Highway 98 in Destin on Thursday afternoon.

Both were residents of Fort Walton Beach.

A 2009 Nissan Altima made a left turn onto Henderson Beach Road and was hit by a westbound Chevrolet Silverado.

A 33-year-old male passenger in the Altima was pronounced dead on the scene.

A 57-year-old female driver was flown to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center where she died.

The Silverado was driven by an 18-year-old who suffered non-serious injuries.

Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.

It is yet to be known that what caused the crash.
