Two killed after car hits pole in Robeson County

Two were killed and one person was injured after a car crash on Monday morning in Robeson County, North Carolina.

The crash took place just after 7 a.m. along McGirt Ginn Road when the car ran off the road to the right and overcorrected before crossing the centerline.

The car then ran off the road, struck a ditch, and kept driving straight into a road sign where it then overturned before hitting a utility pole and coming to rest on its roof.

The driver, a 19-year-old identified as Dylan Bullard of Laurinburg, and a 15-year-old identified as Julian Strickland of Maxton were pronounced dead at the scene.

A third passenger was flown to the hospital. Their condition is critical.

No one was wearing a seatbelt.

North Carolina Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
