by SpeedLux

Two people were killed after a crash that involved five cars near the Albuquerque Sunport in New Mexico.

The crash took place at Gibson and Yale in southeast Albuquerque when a silver Ford F-150 was traveling west on Gibson SE before it was over the median and went into oncoming traffic. The pickup truck then hit two vehicles head-on, killing both the drivers.

Eastbound Gibson was closed at Yale due to an investigation.

An APD DWI officer attended the crash site and conducted a blood test to figure out a possible cause for the accident.

The APD Motors Unit is investigating the crash.
