Two killed after semi-trucks crashed in Washtenaw County

The drivers of two semi-trucks were killed on Sunday morning after they both crashed with each other on the freeway in Washtenaw County, Michigan.

It was about 2:49 a.m. when officials learned about the two semi-trucks that crashed into one another on I-94 near Baker Road in Scio Township.

Both trucks caught fire due to the crash.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

The freeway was still shut amid the investigation as of 8:19 a.m.

Identities of the victims were not released.

The crash is being investigated by Michigan State Police.
