Volkswagen has announced its plans to introduce three vehicles at the Frankfurt Motor Show to be held next month.

Firstly, it would be the Golf R which features sporty styling and a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 300 HP (221 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque. It enables the all-wheel drive hatchback to achieve the sprint from 0-100 kmph in (0-62 mph) in 5.1 seconds (4.9 seconds with the optional six-speed DSG) and comes with an electronically-limited top speed of 250 kmph (155 mph).

Second model that would be unveiled is the e-Golf which is slated to use a 26.5 kWh lithium-ion battery and an electric motor that develops produces 115 HP (86 kW) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque. This could enable the model to accelerate from 0-100 kmph (0-62 mph) in 11.8 seconds before hitting a top speed of 135 kmph (84 mph). The model would have a range of approximately 175 km (109 miles).

The third and the last model is a mystery and company has not revealed the details about the same as of now but the main themes of Volkswagen’s display at the show are e-mobility, 4MOTION, and the WRC (World Rally Championship).
