BMW M3 GTS Sedan Concept breaks cover

by Alex

BMW unveiled the M5 Concept and the M3 pickup joke at the closed door event held in the first week of April. At the event there was the M3 GTS Sedan Concept as well.

The concept M3 GTS sedan is a derivative of the M3 GTS Coupe and therefore one does not see the entire gimmick that a GTS is supposed to have.

Car Magazine specifies that the power would be below 450 PS or 331 KW or 444 bhp in case of the M3 GTS. For the M3 standard the power would be more than 420 PS or 309 KW or 444 bhp. The engine fit is not yet known for sure but expected to be one of the 4.4 liter V8 of the GTS or an up rated 4.0 liter from the series M3.

The concept model though has taken some of its parts from the production model GTS and that includes the brakes which are larger, the rear boot lid spoiler, the kidney grilles which come in black color and the 10 inch alloy wheels. A change can be noted in the front spoiler which is less wider that on the GTS. The suspension has been tuned as done in case of the M3 GTC Coupe while the car sports lighter exhaust.

Production of the Sedan model would be in limited numbers.
