The Renault Magane, in standard form, meet the standards of most owners, but if you are not satisfied, RS Tuning has a solution for you. The UK based company that specializes in performance upgrades, has developed a Stage 2 tuning package for the Renaultsport Megane 250.
The tuning package was created especially for the 2.0-litre turbocharged unit found in the Menaultsport Megane 250, including a choice between a sports catalyst or a cat bypass pipe. In addition comes a stainless steel performance exhaust and, the icing on the cake, an alloy high flow intercooler.
Beside this, the RS Tuning Renaultsport Megane 250 also comes with a revised ECU. The result? Well, it’s a 70 bhp power boost (dyno proven), which means the Renault Megane will deliver a total of 320 bhp at 5,500 rpm and 360 lb-ft (488 Nm) of torque ar 3,250 rpm. Pretty impressive, isn’t it?
Unfortunately, timing data for the RS Tuning Renaultsport Megane 250 is not available right now. However, considering that the standard 0 to 60 mph acceleration time of 6.1 seconds and the car won 70 bhp after RS Tuning put theiw hands on it, expect the standard numbers to be totally eclipsed. As for the new top speed, expect it to be over 165 mph.
The Stage 2 performance upgrades featured on the RS Tuning Renaultsport Megane 250 costs £2199.00 fitted including VAT @ 20% for the cat bypass version (for circuit use only), while the MOT legal sports catalyst option costs £2499.
