13-year-old girl hits three-year-old boy in fatal car crash in Maine

A 3-year-old boy in Maine died on Wednesday evening after he was hit by a car that was being driven by a 13-year-old girl.

According to the officials, the car crash took place around 6:30 p.m., and that a report came in of a car crash involving a pedestrian. The accident took place near the Tamarack Circle at the Friendly Village Mobile Home Park in Gorham.

When officers attended the scene, they saw that the pedestrian involved in the crash was a 3-year-old who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials said that the person driving the car was a 13-year-old female and that she was the only person inside the vehicle she was driving. She was driving a 2012 black GMC Terrain.

Police were not able to say if the 13-year-old girl was still at the scene when police arrived.

The identities of the driver and the three-year-old boy is yet to be revealed.
