2 dead after car crash on I-75 in Georgia

Two people were pronounced dead following a car crash on Saturday which also involved car fires.

The crash took place around 10:42 p.m., on I-75 southbound in Georgia, between exits 55 and 49 going towards Valdosta. A car was heading south when a tractor-trailer rear-ended the car. The car then crossed I-75 southbound and touched the traffic barrier wall.

The tractor-trailer also crossed I-75 southbound and hit the wall.

The car was struck between the tractor-trailer and the wall.

Georgia State Patrol (GSP) is investigating the incident.
