2 dead after car hits tree in I-80, Warren County

Two passengers died after a car crash on Saturday evening in I-80 in Warren County, New Jersey.

The driver and front-seat passenger were dealing with non-critical injuries, according to officials.

The accident took place just after 6 p.m. near Exit 12 for Hope Township when a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze was heading west when it went off the highway and struck into a guardrail and tree.

A 30-year-old named Tyrell Walker and a 35-year-old named Tyshawn Langhorne, both of Brooklyn succumbed to their injures.

The left lane of the highway was shut for three hours as the officials continued to investigate the crash.
