The 2011 Volkswagen Eos is better looking and faster

by Adrian Hayden

Volkswagen Eos is one of the two convertibles offered by the German builder, the second one being the Beetle Convertible. The automaker said that the 2011 Eos will be equipped with the latest Golf GTI engine, making it a car with power and not only looks. Looks have also been improved to match the 2011 Volkswagen design theme.

The GTI engine is sure to deliver satisfaction to its owner: it is a 2.0 L 4-cylinder TSI that pushes 207 BHP and 206 lb-ft torque. This engine will drive the car to 60 mph in 7.8 seconds (if it is mated with the 6 speed DSG transmission). It seems that in Europe the car will also be offered with a 2.0 TDI making 138 BHP. Specs for America have still not arrived.
