2012 BMW M6 Cabrio Has Dropped Some Camouflage, Revealing New Details [Spy Shots]

by Ionut Dragomir

It’s obvious that the reveal of the new BMW M6 Convertible is coming closer and closer and now we can show you some new spy shots of this model in addition to the previous photos of the upcoming BMW M6 Coupe throwing itself around the Nurburgring.

If you take a look in the photogallery below, you can see that these latest spy shots reveals the new BMW M6, but with less cammo, revealing some new details including quad exhaust outlets, reworked front and rear ends to snag more airflow while minimizing lift, and a similar but sleeker overall profile compared to the current model.

No details about power are available at this time, but this model is rumored to packing up to 600 horsepower from a tuned-up version of the twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8. If it so, this model could potentially be the fastest production car ever launched by the German car maker, but this ramins to be seen.

In terms of performance, expect figures close to those put out by the M5, that sprints from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds, 0-124 mph in 13.0 seconds, while the top speed is limited at 155 mph. Still keep in mind that a performance pack option that raises the limit north of 180 mph is likely.

The 2012 BMW M6 Coupe is likely to make its world debut in December this year and the open top version shouldn’t arrive much later. As for the pricing, expect a starting price of about $115 – 120,000.
