2012 BMW Z4 to sport upgraded interiors

by Alex

The BMW Z4 is due for some updates in 2012. This car is a two-door roadster model and had a gap of seven years between its first and second generation production period. Talks are on for only working on the interior of the car without much ado on its exterior. There is expectation that the car would get a new engine during the face lift process.

The Z4 comes in three models in the US market which are the Z4 sDrive30i, Z4 sDrive35i, and Z4 sDrive35is. A 3.0 liter inline 6 cylinder engine powers the entry level model which is rated at a respectable 255 HP. The upgrade package would replace this engine with a turbocharged four cylinder engine that would deliver the same power. This has been announced by BMW themselves. The difference would therefore be in terms of audible tones that would emanate from a turbo charged engine. The same engine in all probability would also be installed on the BMW 3281.
