The US counter part of Volvo has decided to reduce the prices of the S60 T5 FWD model, which will now be available at a base price of $30,795, excluding a destination fee of $875. This amazing opportunity to bring home this car is being presented with another offer of a specially introduced lease rate plan of $299/month, valid until February 28, 2011.

The standard equipments that are provided with the T5 model include power folding rear head restraints, a modern dual zone air conditioning system, a comfortable power driver seat with memory, leather steering wheel with metal inlays, Bluetooth hands free phone interface, T-Tec textile upholstery 17 inch alloys, infotainment along with an 8 speaker sound system and front and rear sport seats.

The car is also high on safety with multiple safety equipments including Advanced Stability Control, Dynamic Stability and Traction Control (aka DSTC), Whiplash Protection Seating System (WHIPS), a set of airbags for accident safety along with Corner Traction Control by torque vectoring. Thus you can rely on the mechanisms and design of the car as well as on the safety of the car blindly.

The S60 model also consists of a Safe & Secure Coverage Plan introduced by the Volvo itself which translates into something magical in terms of servicing the car. The company will put up for the expenses of keeping the car on the best shape or repair anything damaged for a span of 5 years or a length of 60,000 miles on the odometer. But this does not include the expenses for replacing the tires of the car.

This wonderful package plan coming with the car consists of:

5 years since date of purchase or 60,000 miles on the odometer worth of New Car Warranty

5 years since date of purchase or 60,000 miles on the odometer worth of Complimentary Factory Scheduled Maintenance

5 years since date of purchase or 60,000 miles on the odometer worth of Wear and Tear Coverage

5 years since date of purchase or 60,000 miles on the odometer worth of Volvo on Call Roadside Assistance

The engine of the S60 T5 is based on the 2.5 liter 5 cylinder engine capable of delivering an output torque of 266 lb-ft (equivalent to 361 Nm) and an output power of 250 HP. The engine also comprises of an “over boost” mode that can get the car to produce an output torque of 295 lb-ft (equivalent to 401 Nm). The front set of wheels receives the power to zoom up from the second generation 6 speed automatic Geartronic transmission from Volvo. The car can speed up to 60 mph (equal to 96 km/h) from rest in a time span of mere 6.8 seconds which does really tell the story how bullish the car really is. The car has a speedometer max of 130 mph (equal to 209 km/h). This car is a perfect buy who are willing to go zip zap zoom on the roads with a touch of style and finesse as well.
