2013 Kia Carens (Unveiled Ahead Of Paris Debut)

by SpeedLux

Kia Motors, headquartered in Seoul, is South Korea’s second-largest automobile manufacturer, following the Hyundai Motor Company, with sales of over 1.4 million vehicles in 2010.

The company is partly owned by the Hyundai Motor Group, the fourth largest automaker in the world based on annual vehicle sales in 2010 after Toyota, General Motors, and Volkswagen AG. Since August 2009, the company has been led by Hyoung-Keun Lee. The word Kia derives from Korean words, which means “to arise to the world from Asia”.

Now today we are talking about Third Generation Kia Carens, which is set to make a debut at the Paris Motor Show next week, before reaching the dealerships in the beginning of 2013.

The new Kia Carens has been designed from the ground up as a new car, this new model doesn’t share anything with the old model. It is more stylish, aerodynamics are pretty good, inside its spacious, and lastly practical than the previous model, and this one offers up to seven seat, thanks to the long wheel base.

Taking a look at the new model, this one definately looks better than the previous model, with such design features, the design team at Kia Motors are striving at us with their class-apart designs.

You see the wide ‘Tiger Nose’ grille which dominates the face of the new wagon, which are postioned by large headlights, this shows that the design has been taken from the European-market Cee’d range. A tall roofline ensures optimum head-room across all rows, and a tall tailgate and wide rear access portal stands out at the rear.

Quoting Hyoung-Keun Lee, Vice Chairman and CEO, Kia Motors Corporation he says, “The new Carens builds on the family-friendly versatility and functionality of its predecessor, and features more athletic and visually dynamic design”. He also adds, “This marks a dramatic shift forward for our MPV contender and brings the model in line with Kia’s distinctive current design direction.”

Alongside the new Carens on the Kia stand will be the all-new pro cee’d, also making its world premiere. They are joined by two models making their European debuts in Paris – the new 2.0-litre Optima Hybrid saloon promising a unique blend of performance and economy, and the new Sorento SUV with an all-new 2.4-litre 192 ps GDI engine option.

More details will be up once it is launched at the Paris Motor Show. Stay tuned and as of now go through the pictures and let us know views on this car.
