2014 Alfa Romeo 4C safety car unveiled

Alfa Romeo has recently unveiled its 4C safety car, just ahead of its official debut at the FIM World Superbike Championship to be held this weekend.

The one-off model looks pretty impressive and comes with a two-tone exterior with red, white and green stripes running the length of the body. Just like the standard model, the safety car is also powered by a same 1.75-liter four-cylinder engine that can pump out 240 HP (176 kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. The engine is further mates to a dual-clutch transmission which enables the model to achieve the sprint of 0-62 mph (0-100 kmph) in just 4.5 seconds and can hit a top speed in excess of 155 mph (250 kmph).

As stated by the Alfa Romeo UK Head Damien Dally, Alfa Romeo was a proud sponsor of the FIM World Superbike Championship and it has been associated with the series for seven years now. He further stated that as were preparing to launch the Alfa 4C in the United Kingdom, it was fantastic according to the company to be able to showcase this car to the public for a second time as it takes to the prestigious Silverstone circuit.

Thank goodness I own a 88 Spider for I will be dead before Alfa Romeo sells cars in the USA.

Mid-engined Alfa Romeo? BMW and MBenz have have already carried the corpse to it’s gravesite. Remember Lancia? Not likely. Remember Porsche?

How are those biturbos doing these days? You can buy one for a couple of hundred dollars. And a Porsche of the same era? a little more, I guess.
