The 2014 BMW M3 model has been caught under camera undergoing testing with pretty less disguise as a part of it.
The prototype reveals the model will have a number of familiar features such as an aggressive front bumper, aerodynamic mirrors, revised side skirts, a four-tailpipe exhaust system, wider rear fenders and a new trunk with an integrated spoiler.
That’s not enough, the M3 is also expected to have to have a carbon fiber roof, hood and trunk. With these features, the sedan may become lighter by around 100 kg (220 lbs) as compared to its predecessor.
Under the hood, the M3 is expected to come fitted with a twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder very much like the M3 that would generate an output of approximately 420 hp (313 kW). It will likely be further mated to a six-speed manual or a seven-speed M DCT Drivelogic gearbox.
The company has not revealed much detail about the model as of now but there are reports that suggest that the 2014 BMW M3 could be introduced alongside the M4 Coupe at the North American International Auto Show. However more is expected to be revealed in the coming period about the model.
